Procedure Overview
A thigh lift removes excess skin and, where needed, fat from the thighs, addressing laxity that commonly follows significant weight loss or occurs with ageing. Techniques vary depending on whether the inner thigh, outer thigh, or full circumference is involved, and are often combined with liposuction.
IDEAL FOR
Patients with loose thigh skin following significant weight loss or age-related laxity.
How the treatment works
01
First consultation
Thigh skin laxity and fat distribution are assessed to determine whether an inner, outer, or circumferential approach is appropriate.
02
Planning
Incision pattern, expected scarring and whether liposuction will be combined are confirmed.
03
The procedure
Performed under general anaesthesia, typically 2 to 3 hours depending on extent.
04
Recovery & follow-up
A compression garment is worn for several weeks, with review appointments at 1, 6 and 12 weeks.
