Procedure Overview
Breast reconstruction rebuilds breast shape after mastectomy, using implants, the patient's own tissue, or a combination of both, depending on anatomy and prior treatment. Reconstruction can begin at the same time as mastectomy or be performed later, and is planned closely with the patient's broader oncology care team where relevant.
