Procedure Overview
Breast augmentation increases breast size and improves shape using silicone or saline implants, or in some cases the patient's own fat. Implant size, profile and placement are chosen to suit the individual's frame and goals. The result is planned around long-term proportion and comfort, not a fixed idea of an 'ideal' size.
IDEAL FOR
Patients seeking increased breast volume or improved shape and proportion.
How the treatment works
01
First consultation
Breast anatomy, skin quality and goals are assessed. Implant type, size range and placement options are discussed.
02
Planning
Sizing is finalised, often with sizers to visualise the outcome. Surgery date and pre-operative instructions are confirmed.
03
The procedure
Performed under general anaesthesia, typically 1 to 2 hours, usually with a short overnight stay or as day surgery.
04
Recovery & follow-up
A support garment is worn for several weeks, with review appointments at 1 week, 6 weeks and 6 months.
