Procedure Overview

An arm lift, or brachioplasty, removes excess skin and fat from the upper arms, most often needed after significant weight loss or as a result of ageing-related skin laxity. It's frequently combined with liposuction to further refine the contour of the arm.

IDEAL FOR

Patients with loose, sagging upper arm skin after weight loss or ageing, seeking a smoother, more toned contour.

How the treatment works

01

First consultation

Skin laxity and fat distribution along the upper arm are assessed to determine the right technique and expected scar length.

02

Planning

Incision placement and whether liposuction will be combined are confirmed, along with recovery expectations.

03

The procedure

Performed under general or local anaesthesia with sedation, typically 1 to 2 hours.

04

Recovery & follow-up

A compression garment is worn for several weeks, with review appointments at 1, 6 and 12 weeks.
