Abdominoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightens underlying muscles that have separated, commonly after pregnancy or significant weight loss. It's frequently combined with liposuction to refine the waistline and improve overall contour.

How the treatment works

First consultation
Abdominal skin, muscle separation and goals are assessed to determine the right technique and extent of surgery.

Planning
Incision pattern, whether liposuction will be combined, and recovery expectations are explained in detail.

The procedure
Performed under general anaesthesia, typically 2 to 4 hours, usually with a one to two night stay.

Recovery & follow-up
A compression garment is worn for several weeks, with drains removed within days and review at 1, 6 and 12 weeks.
